BONDING

To present a unified front for all its member associations and promote the advancement of people of Indian origin in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surroundings.

ENGAGEMENT

To act as a channel of communication between the Indian community and the Governments Federal, the Territory/State or the Indian Government) on welfare, social and economic matters.

INTERACTION

To promote an awareness about Indians being responsible Australian citizens and to cultivate a feeling of mutual respect through increased social & cultural interaction, sport and recreation.

INDIA CENTRE

To establish, develop and maintain an “India Centre” – a Community and Resource centre in ACT for use and benefit of member organisations and of the community.

GUIDELINES & ACTIONS

FINACT values Fraternity, Inclusiveness, Networking, Assistance, Cooperation and Teamwork.

Where FINACT Constitution stipulates certain actions, behaviour and provides guidelines, Annual Report provides vivid details of activities undertaken by FINACT in a financial year.

Roshan Menon is an IT Consultant by profession. He is a dedicated and committed community worker and is associated with many organisations and multicultural groups. He is one of the founding members and an active member of the Canberra Malayalees Association, which is one of the biggest associations in Canberra. He is the current president of Canberra Ayyappa Samajam, a Hindu religious group promoting unity and culture.

Manohar originally comes from a Visakhapatnam in southern part of India and moved to Australia in 2001 to pursue Master of Information Technology at University of Canberra (UC). Professionally, Manohar is a Canberra based Cyber Security professional working for DXC Technology. Manohar currently manages the National Security Account for DXC Cyber Practice.

Praveen found immense joy and fulfilment living in this vibrant, family-friendly city. It has been a privilege to see our children grow and thrive here. His wife and Praveen both work in the Australian Public Service (APS), while their daughter is an economist at a bank, and son is soon to embark on his career as a software engineer at a high-frequency trading (HFT) firm.

Tess Manuel is qualified Chartered Practicing Accountant (CPA Australia) with a deep expertise in costing, financial modelling and business performance analysis. She has demonstrated capability in managing external and internal stakeholders and providing recommendations, reports and analytical insights to key decision makers.
